My Bloody Valentine will confirm that they are reforming next week.
In an interview set to be broadcast in the US next Monday, the band's frontman Kevin Shields confirms the rumours, reported by Hot Press several months ago, that the pioneering band are to get back together and record a new studio album.
Sheilds also revealed that much of the new record will be comprised of material written around the time the band broke up in 1995. "It sounds like what we sounded like - different, but not radically different." he said. "People will go, "yeah, it sounds like My Bloody Valentine.""
Additionally, it was reported elsewhere that the recently reactivated mybloodyvalentine.co.uk website was being built by the band's bassist Debbie Goodge.
