So we've already revealed that Alt-J's An Awesome Wave was the Hot Press Album Of The Year. Now here are the results of the Hot Press jury for Tracks Of the Year 2012. What's that you say? Carly Rae Jepson nul points?... Surely not!
The honour of Hot Press Track Of The Year for 2012 goes to (drumroll... wait for it)... Django Django with 'Default', which proved it's staying credentials with the Hot Press team having been released way back in January this year.
Grimes follows in second place with 'Oblivion' , with American experimental r'n'b star Frank Ocean collecting the bronze medal with 'Thinkin Bout You' taken from his Orange LP. Ocean is the only artist to feature twice in the top 30 with 'Pyramids' also taking the No.17 spot.
Arctic Monkeys' 'R U Mine' and Alt-J's 'Breezeblocks' make up the top five, with 'When The Past Was Present' earning Spanish producer (who's in town for a sold-out show tomorrow night) John Talabot sixth spot.
Dublin three-piece Hal are the highest Irish name on the list (7th) with 'Why Do You Come Here', while fellow Irishmen Delorentos and Two Door Cinema Club make the top 15 with 'Petardu' and 'Sun' respectively.
