Duffy plans Dublin and Belfast visits
Duffy underlines her ‘next big thing’ status when she visits The Sugar Club, Dublin (March 2) and Auntie Annie’s, Belfast (3).
Signed to Rough Trade in 2004, the 22-year-old Welsh singer has just completed recording her debut album, Rockferry, with former Suede man Bernard Butler producing.
Described by RT supremo Geoff Travis as having a voice that’s “almost unnatural”, we reckon she’s going to give Amy Winehouse some serious competition next year in the chaneteuse stakes.
You can also check out what all the fuss is about tonight when she joins Manu Chao, James Blunt, Kano, Dion and Orchestra Baobab on Later With Jools Holland.
