Colum McCann shortlisted for IMPAC award
Transatlantic is only Irish novel in the running
Colum McCann has been shortlisted for 2015 International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award.
The novelist - who scooped the prize four years ago for Let The Great World Spin - has this time received the nod for his novel Transatlantic.
He's the only Irish nominee on the list, which has a distinctly international feel; other writers to make the shortlist hail from Nigeria, the US, Britain, Australia, Brazil, Morocco and Russia, and include the Man Booker Prize winner Richard Flanagan.
The €100,000 prize - the most valuable annual literary prize for English fiction - will be doled out on June 17.
