They're playing the home of GAA on Friday May 27
We were hoping when they announced a Portuguese festival date last week that their European visit would be extended to take in Ireland, and so it's come to pass with Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band bringing their 30th anniversary celebration of The River to Croke Park, Dublin on May 27. Tickets go on sale at 9am on Thursday February 11.
There really is no show like a Bruce show - sorry Joe Dolan fans! - with The Boss routinely playing for over three hours and going off on nightly flights of musical fancy.
The last time the chaps were over in 2013 they played Limerick, Cork, Belfast and Kilkenny and totally captured the nation's imagination. There's no reason to think that their first-ever Croker date will be any different.
In other Bruce news, his manager Jon Landau has confirmed that there's a solo album on the way - "It will be the next thing we release. It's something Bruce wants to stand behind" - while Steve Van Zandt, who's copped an earful, describes it as: "Very good with real nice things on it, nice orchestration."
