BIMM Dublin set to expand
The music college has acquired a second premises.
BIMM Dublin have just confirmed their plans to deal with overwhelming demand by opening a new building. It will be operational for the academic year 2013/14.
It is a testament to the massive success of BIMM in Ireland since it first opened its Dublin college in September 2011. With the Francis Street HQ having reached capacity after two years, the new premises, located five minutes away at 115-117 The Coombe, will ensure the college can accommodate new students.
Ryan O'Shaugnessy (pictured), the Britain's Got Talent finalist who charted at No.1 in Ireland and Top 10 in the UK with his debut album, is a former BIMM Dublin student.
Speaking of the expansion, College Manager Dara Kilkenny commented:
“We are delighted to have acquired our additional premises in this thriving inner city creative area, and look forward to welcoming even more talented musicians to the college in September. The Irish music business is thriving and our courses are aimed at giving our students the required skills and tools for a sustained career in the music industry. We are looking forward to the years ahead and continued success for students and alumni of BIMM Dublin.”
All applications for the BIMM Dublin BA (Hons) in Commercial Modern Music (DT506) must be made through the CAO before 1st February 2013. Go to [link]www.bimm.co.uk/dublin[/link] for more details.
