Netflix secure international rights to new Star Trek TV series
The first episode will be seen in January 2017
Netflix have bagged the worldwide rights, excluding Canada and the US, to the new Star Trek TV series with episodes going out just 24 hours after they’ve aired in North America.
As part of the deal, the paid streaming platform has bagged all 727 episodes of the original James T. Kirk romp, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Enterprise.
Premiering in January 2017, the new TV series will be the first to feature LGBTQ characters with shooting taking place over the coming months in London and Toronto.
