The 23-year-old singer is to be made an honourary citizen of Manchester in July, it has been confirmed.
In recognition of Grande's instrumental role in putting together the “One Love” benefit concert to raise money for the victims of a terror attack in Manchester on 22 May, the singer will be made an honourary citizen of the city.
"Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity in supporting One Love Manchester and for helping the families as much as you possibly could," Ariana recently wrote on her website.
22 people tragically died and a further 59 people were left injured when a suicide bomber targeted the foyer of Manchester Arena as fans left Ariana Grande's concert on 22 May.
Speaking last night, Manchester Town Hall chief, Sir Richard Leese said: "We've all had cause to be incredibly proud of Manchester and the resilient and compassionate way in which the city responded to the terrible events of May 22 with love and courage rather than hatred and fear.
"Ariana exemplified this response. I think many people would already consider her an honourary Mancunian, and we would be delighted to make it official."
At the "One Love" gig, Araina told the audience: "I think that the kind of love and unity you're displaying is the medicine the world really needs now."
