Texans will make their Irish live debut this week
Texas rockabilly quartet The Bellfuries have never played in Ireland, but that all changes this weekend.
The Austin natives, riding the wave of their latest album Workingmans Bellfuries, will visit the Grand Social this Sunday, October 18. Though it might be their first gig in the capital, they won't have too much problem with the accent - or finding company for the evening - given that they've previously toured with Imelda May in the US. Indeed, Imelda plumped for their debut record Just Plain Lonesome in Dan Hegarty's book Buried Treasure - and if it's good enough for the Liberties Lass, then it's good enough for us!
Belfast veterans The Sabrejets provide support on the night, and tickets, priced at €20, are on sale now.
