Foo Fighters documentary to air on TG4

Friday May 13 will see the Irish TV premiere of Back And Forth

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 30 Mar 2011

Having already screened in 20 Irish cinemas around the country in April, the new Foo Fighters film Back And Forth is set to have its small screen debut on TG4 this week. The documentary goes out this Friday, May 13, at midnight.

The work of Oscar and Emmy Award-winning producer and director James Moll, it chronicles the band’s entire 16-year career, including the summer Dave and Taylor spent in the Gaeltacht in Connemara trying to seduce Irish dancers (no, not really) and will be accompanied by a second film of the Foos performing their new Wasting Light album front to back.

History is not something to be afraid of

When Dave Grohl sat down to decide how the next Foo Fighters album shuld sound, he was drawn inexorably back into the past. With producer Butch Vig at the console, a commitment to analogue and Kris Novoselic guesting on a track that might be a requiem for Kurt Cobain it comes closer than anything the band have ever done before, to chanelling the spirit of Nevermind. Now with a tour on the way, they’re looking forward to rocking Oxegen.
