It's part of a film project the band are working on...
Irish actor Aiden Gillen stars in the new Sigur Rós video, 'Ekki Múkk'.
It's part of a project the Icelandic ambient post-rockers are currently working on, called Valtari Mystery Film Experiment. 12 directors will create videos from the band's latest album. The haunting 'Ekki Múkk' marks the tenth installment - the vid in which Gillen stars is directed by filmmaker Nick Abrahams. Check it out, below.
The band explains: "Sigur Rós have given a dozen film makers the same modest budget and asked them to create whatever comes into their head when they listen to songs from the band's new album Valtari. The idea is to bypass the usual artistic approval process and allow people utmost creative freedom. Among the filmmakers are Ramin Bahrani, Alma Har'el and John Cameron Mitchell."
