The Process Of Belief

The Process Of Belief finds them reunited both with that spiritual home and founder member Brett Gurewitz and sounding as fresh and inspired as in their early days

For over twenty years, Bad Religion have exerted the greatest influence on the US punk scene of perhaps any band, both through their music and the label they founded, Epitaph.

The Process Of Belief finds them reunited both with that spiritual home and founder member Brett Gurewitz and sounding as fresh and inspired as in their early days.

Bad Religion make Bad Religion records and The Process Of Belief is a classic example: melodic punk rock played at a million miles an hour (fourteen tracks lasting just over half an hour) and shot through with sweet harmonies and a passionate belief in the power of music.

And as always, there are just enough moments of solid gold magic to keep you coming back for more, where the various elements gel and the undercurrent of emotion cracks the surface, as on the gorgeous ‘Broken’.

“Is there something worth aspiring for?”, they wonder on ‘You Don’t Belong’, “and can it be found in a record store?”. Too right it can.
