Canon 750D A family affair
South By Southwest – the annual industry festival in Austin, Texas – is musical chairs on a massive scale. Whether you are checking out crooners or cranium pounders, it’s worth capturing the artists on a decent camera. This year, the Irish contingency included September Girls, Silences, David C. Clements and
plenty more.
Photographing Rusangano Family, Ireland’s greatest hip-hop act, who have more energy than a sack of angry cats, requires a camera with super-fast auto focus (AF).
Canon 750D ticks the boxes with its speedy AF, shutter speed, and focus tracking. Pictures are captured in 24.2 megapixels and transferred to smartphones or tablets via a Canon app.
The camera shoots 1080p video at 30 fps. This will disappoint 60fps video fans and 4K aficionados, but our video of a Girls Names show looked good enough for TV.
Chunky, yet light, 750D fits into your hand smoother than a Texan bison burger. A 3-inch display folds out to reveal a touch screen, which tilts up and down so you can shoot action high and low. SXSW 2016 was a sight to behold through the viewfinder of Canon’s 750D.
