After a long break from the Irish live scene, The Dudley Corporation return to the Irish circuit this spring with a live tour.
They'll be starting with the Spirit Store in Dundalk on February 23.
Additional dates have already been confirmed for The Ballroom of Romance in Dublin on February 24, the Roisin Dubh in Galway on March 16 and Mullingar's The Stables on March 24.
For a band determined to take things easy, 2005 saw them appear on two US tours and chalk up an appearance at the CMJ Festival while Stateside. Considering the band members were actually living on different continents as they put the tour together, there was an admirable ambition in the scale of their jaunts!
The band are currently hard at work recording their third album - the follow up to 2003's In Love With The Dudley Corporation, using the skills of a number of figures like Rob Bochnick (The Frames), and Don Zientara (Fugazi/Minor Threat), and in such contrasting locations as Dave Odlum's Black Box Studio in France, and the legendary Inner Ear Studios in Washington. The as-yet-untitled LP is set for release later in 2006.
