The British singer has passed away at the age of 70.
Hot Press was saddened to learn that Joe Cocker, perhaps most famous for his iconic cover of The Beatles' 'With A Little Help From My Friends', has passed away. The Sheffield singer had been battling lung cancer.
Cocker had a fruitful career that lasted over four decades, and brought him plenty of hits with the likes of 'Up Where We Belong' (a duet with Jennifer Warnes) and 'You Are So Beautiful'.
Tributes have flooded in from the music industry, with Paul McCartney saying that Cocker "brought so much to the world", the likes of Rick Wakeman heralding his "unique" voice and Bryan Adams, Ringo Starr and Steven Tyler tweeting:
WE LOVED YOU FOREVER, WE WILL MISS YOU ALWAYS...RIP JOE COCKER.
