Whole Lotta Live is a 30-track compilation of the sessions recorded at the station over the years
Later this month, Today FM is to release Whole Lotta Live, a compilation album in memory of the late Tony Fenton.
The DJ, who passed away in March, was famously fond of having bands on his show for a natter and a tune or two, so it's not surprising to find the great and the good of music featuring on the album. Lifted from sessions recorded on the shows of Anton Savage, Ian Dempsey, Paul McLoone and, of course, The Dude himself, it includes homegrown heroes Hozier, Glen Handard and Kodaline, alongside international stars including The National, Lianne La Havas and Paolo Nutini.
The album will go on physical release (double CD) nationwide on Friday 27th November; proceeds will go to The Irish Cancer Society via Today FM’s Shave or Dye campaign, which over the last six years has raised over €8 million.
