Directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, the movie will star famous actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy. Will Poulter, Domhnall Gleeson, Paul Anderson, Lukas Haas and Brad Carter will also make appearances in the upcoming film.
The Revenant is inspired by a true story, and is set in the 1820s. In the film, a bear in the American wilderness viciously attacks DiCaprio’s character, Hugh Glass. His hunting peers, including his close confidante played by Tom Hardy, leave him for dead. He remarkably survives, and embarks on an epic quest through the vast American wilderness in order to find justice. The movie focuses on DiCaprio’s impeccable will of survival and inspirational strength.
It is scheduled to be released on January 8, 2016.
