The Barbados superstar has postponed several concerts due to illness and has had to cancel two UK dates.
Rihanna has cancelled two gigs, scheduled for Cardiff and Sunderland on the 16th and 18th of June respectively. However, the good news for Irish fans is that her planned Aviva extravaganza in Dublin on 21st June is still firmly in the calendar.
Since the release of her much awaited and highly anticipated Anti album, Rihanna has been struggling with a bout of bronchitis – and as a result has been put on strict vocal rest by her doctors. She was forced to pull out of her scheduled performance at the Grammy Awards at the last minute on Monday night last, 15th February.
Following on from the negative medical diagnosis, Rihanna's 68-date world tour has been postponed for 2 weeks. The Anti World Tour was meant to kick off on February 26th but fans will now have to wait until the 12th of March to see the full Anti live show for the first time. This later start date has given rise to complications in the tour schedule overall – as a consequence the concerts in Cardiff and Sunderland have been cancelled.
