... plus details of a pre-Christmas show in Dublin.
Following hot on the heels of scorching summer single 'Jenny', 'Quicksand' is the latest track from Hermitage Green's upcoming debut to get a standalone release.
Not only that, it gets its own promo, directed by Jon Hozier-Byrne (who's also worked on videos for his 'Take Me To Church'-singing bro). Check it out below.
Talking about the meaning behind ‘Quicksand’, Darragh Griffin says: “The track was written on a cold January morning about trying to overcome a difficult period in your life while simultaneously poking fun at the situation”.
"This was probably the most fun we've had on a music video shoot," says Hozier-Byrne. I"t was a really interesting challenge to have the guys from Hermitage Green hung upside down, playing their instruments, while we pelted them with this insanely messy powder. We really felt that the song hit on these themes of disorientation and uncertainty, the feeling of being completely out of control, and out of your depth. We really tried to represent that sensation visually."
In other Hermitage Green news, the band have just announced plans for a Christmas show. You can catch them in The Sugar Club, Dublin, on December 9. Tickets are priced at €18 and go on sale this Friday from usual outlets. It's an over-18s gig and ID will be required.
