The former Nirvana bassist was on hand as amateur videographer for his ex-bandmate's Portland date.
Since the June accident in Gothenburg, Sweden that landed Dave Grohl with a busted fibula and forced the band to cancel a much anticipated headlining set at Glastonbury, the Foo Fighters have appeared to be on a mission to prove that something as small as the grounding of their enigmatic frontman isn't enough to stop the rock.
Recent gigs have seen the band perform some of their longest sets to date, with Grohl slyly poking fun at new bands who play, "those little hour and a half-long shows." Add to this a litany of guest appearances at recent shows, including Queen's Roger Taylor, Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones, and members of hardcore heroes, The Bad Brains, and it seems that even with a hobbled singer the Foo Fighters are in the form of their lives.
This was confirmed by Grohl's former Nirvana bandmate Kirst Novoselic who provided some support to the still throne-bound Grohl by live tweeting the Foo Fighters recent gig at the Moda Centre in Portland from side stage, calling the Foo Fighters "The Best Band In The World."
