Dublin four-piece Fight Like Apes are set to return to the scene with an EP of new material slated for release next month.
The two-time Choice award nominated indie stars who captured the public imagination with their 2008 debut have kept a relatively low profile since the 2010 release of their last LP The Body of Christ and the Legs of Tina Turner.
The recording of the agit-rockers upcoming EP Whigfiled Sextapes was funded in part through internet donations from their own fans. With FLapes devotees no doubt eager for new product from one of Ireland’s finest exports the Dublin band’s offering is sure to sate their ravenous appetites.
Whigfield Sextapes is being released via U.K indie imprint Alcopop! Records and marks something of a departure for the band. Having rounded off some of their previous work’s rougher edges in favor of a sound distinctly more ‘80s in it’s flavor.
