Forbes has published its biggest hip-hop earners so far this year
Another day, another dollar. In the rap world of glitz and glamour, hip-hop stars are increasingly getting flashier with their amassed fortunes.
At number 5 on the Rap Rich List is Toronto native Drake. He replaces the bankrupt rapper 50 Cent. The Canadian sneaks in with a fortune on $60m, earned by his extensive touring, music releases and multi-million endorsements from Nike, Apple and Sprite.
At number 4, Birdman of Cash Money Records. Sure, he has a lot of face tattoos and barges into radio stations demanding "respek", but this Louisiana artist has built up and solid nest-egg of $110m.
At number 3, we start introducing the real money makers in the game. Jay Z's Tidal venture, with 3m subscribers, has bumped the New Yorker up to a sizeable $610 million.

At number 2, we head over to the West Coast of America, to welcome Dr Dre to the party. A man with his hands in several pies, Dre's sale of Beats by Dre, his biopic Straight Outta Compton of N.W.A. and a savvy mind for southern Californian real-estate has earned him $710m.
And at the number 1, Diddy, P. Diddy, or Puffy - whatever you want to call him - Diddy now boasts a fortune of $750m, thanks to his clothing line Sean John and Ciroc vodka.
