The Script, David Gray, Sharon Corr and Julian Clary are among those who also say Vote Yes on Friday
Brian Kennedy has released a special single and video in support of the 'Yes' campaign, in the upcoming Marriage Equality referendum.
The Belfast-born singer, who is openly gay since 2009, wrote the funky pop gem 'Please Vote Yes and recorded it in Dublin with producer Billy Farrell, who is best known for his work with The Corrs. The video was made by Stuart Gray, who previously worked with Brian on his albums Love Letter To Joni and Voice – both of which were also produced by Farrell.
In a special coda, the video also reveals a number of other artists and celebrities who are urging a 'Yes' vote. These include The Script, who are one of Ireland's major success stories of recent years, along with David Gray, Sharon Corr, Julian Clary, Kathleen Lynch, Mary Black, Rosanna Davison, Keith Barry, Stephen Rea, Eleanor McEvoy, former rugby stalwart and TV pundit Shane Byrne, film-maker and actor Mark O'Halloran, Seán Munsanje and Eamon Holmes, among others. Over 70 celebrities, including the members of U2 – Bono, Adam Clayton, The Edge and Larry Mullen – have come out in support of a 'Yes' vote.
