Sinead O'Connor Joins Booker T On Stage At Dublin Show
It was 22 years late but Sinead O'Connor and Booker T performed 'I Believe In You' on The Sugar Club stage last night
Back in 1992, O'Connor was scheduled to perform the track at the Bob Dylan 30th Anniversary concert in Madison Square Garden but was met with a chorus of boos in response to her recent act of ripping up a picture of the pope on Saturday Night Live. At the time she sang 'War' instead.
Last night Booker warmly introduced the singer as his 'friend in Dublin' and spoke about his support for her actions at the time and how happy he was she was joining him on stage. They performed the Dylan track and then a spine-tingling version of 'Nothing Compares 2 U'.
