It may be winter outside, but our tuneage could not be hotter!
Hello there… did you miss us? Of course you did! Having been deployed on a special mission these past few weeks, Free Music Friday is back bracing at the downloads, streams, vids and trailers bit.
Never again will we leave you for so long…
Our favourite FMF thing this week is the stunning video Kate Bush has released to accompany ‘And Dream Of Sheep’, one of the standouts from her Before The Dawn live album, which is out today and reminds us of what a superlative talent she is.
Filmed over three days in Pinewood Studios, Bush got mild hypothermia from being in the water so long. And while we’re at it, here’s the promo to go with her debut 1979 single, ‘Wuthering Heights’.
Some additional Trainspotting T2 footage has been posted in the longer Brazilian trailer for the sequel, which hits screens here on January 27 and looks the absolute dog’s proverbials.

Wexford resident Paula Cox gladdens our hearts with the impossibly beautiful 'Let's Play A Game'. You'll be hearing more about her in Hot Press very soon...
The eye candy keeps on coming with The Weeknd releasing this extremely glitzy short film, which petrolheads as well as R’n’B fans will adore.
From Toronto with much love comes Zoe Sky Jordan who gives Lana Del Rey a run for her money in the winsome department.

Also doing the breathy thing better than most is LA resident Athena who revives the noble art of whistling in songs on ‘Finding England’.
Our Noise Trade friends liken her to Marketa Irglova whose Live From San Francisco, November 18, 2011 is yours for whatever you deem it to be worth. No being stingy, now!
Butch Walker is a Georgian sonic cousin of Ray LaMontagne’s who gets extra marks for calling one of his songs ‘Chrissie Hynde’. We suspect 2017 will be a mega year for him.

This week’s streams kick off with the new album from The Oh Sees, An Odd Entrances, which while grammatically challenged doesn’t half pack a sonic punch.
We’re also very much liking our upfront earfuls of Detroit electronic funkateer Jay Daniel; Gillian Welch who treats us to a tasty rarities package, and Portuguese and English tag team, Rodrigo Leão & Scott Matthew.

OK Go push the visual envelope again with their fab ‘The One Moment’ video. The tune it’s accompanying ain’t half bad, either!
Connoisseurs of quality Irish hip hop will be all over Ahren-B's 'On My Shoulders', which features the honeyed tones of Breana Marin.
Classic ‘70s rock influences abound on ‘Range Rover Bitch’, the latest solo flight of fancy from Taylor Hawkins who really, really wants the singing gig in Rush.

It’s festive nature may be questionable, but that doesn’t stop Boosie Badazz’s Happy Thanksgiving & Merry Christmas mixtape from being a Louisianan gangsta rap thing of beauty. Gucci Mane’s a fan and so, we imagine, will you be…
We very much like the look of Where You’re Meant To Be, a documentary account of how Arab Strap’s Aidan Moffat rediscovered the Scottish folk songs of his youth.
Hare Squead also signal their impending hugeness with new 45, 'Herside Story'.
Jon Hozier-Byrne has directed this beyond gorgeous vid for We Cut Corners’ ‘Of Whatever’. The girl with the awesome hair is Megan O’Malley.

Finally, our RetroVid of the Week is the life-affirming clip for Toto’s ‘Africa’, which has been watched a mere 143,629,188 times – and rising!
And that’s your Free Music Friday lot for another week. Please fire your links as rapidly as you can @stuartclark66.
