'Deeper Understanding' is from her upcoming Director's Cut compilation
Kate Bush isn't exactly the most prolific artist in the world (Twelve years intervening between her last album, 2005's Aerial and the one before that) but such is her legacy that any glimmer of new material sends fans into a delirious tizzy. And so it is with the reclusive singer's new release, an updated version of 'Deeper Understanding', an album track from 1989's The Sensual World. The track, which prophetically told of a lonely woman having a relationship with her computer hasn't been dramatically re-upholstered but divisively, does feature vocoder on Bush's voice and has divided fans and critics alike with Bush trending on microblogging website Twitter.
'Deeper Understanding' comes from Director's Cut, a compilation released on May 13 which features revisioned and re-recorded tracks from the albums The Sensual World and 1993's The Red Shoes.
