Gig will be broadcast around the world on the band's official Facebook page
Bell X1 have announced another rather huge (Bloodless?) coup with the announcement that they will take part in the first ever Facebook EMEA worldwide gig-stream on Friday May 27. The band will play an exclusive concert on the rooftop of Dublin's Facebook building, the European HQ of the social networking site, on Hannover Quay which will be brodcast world-wide on the band's official Facebook page at 8pm. This being Facebook of course, an event page for the stream has been already been set up so click 'Attending' and tune in to see the band play tracks from their Top 3 charting album Bloodless Coup in addition to classics from the Bell X1 back catalogue.
The world-wide gig stream is a first for Facebook EMEA and commenting on the event Stan Massueras (Online-Sales Team-Leader) said “This is a really exciting project and we are really happy to be able to do it with one of the most creative and innovative Irish bands”.
The event page can be found at [link]www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=145802592156632[/link].
Of course, a Dublin rooftop is not nearly the weirdest place Bell X1 have played this year. Check out the latest Hot Press issue to read all about when the band gatecrashed competition winner Sinead Loughman's Maynooth gaf for an up-close-and-personal set living room set.
