Watch Poetic L.A Salami Perform Epic Tiny Desk Concert

Lookman Adekunle Salami, aka L.A. Salami is a rare lyrical genius. Known for his politically charged, wonderfully witty and often deeply profound words, The British born folk singer’s bold and raw talent was awarded with a first big break on NPR's iconic tiny desk concert.

Opening his performance with a strong rendition of his most notable track 'Day to Day 6 Days a week' he continued to showcase a spectrum of styles throughout, from compelling Dylan-esque guitar and harmonica to angry political rock.

Salami released his debut album ‘Dancing with Bad Grammar’ in 2016. A collection of catchy and controversial tracks loaded with words of wisdom and a sprinkling of light-hearted quips. He continues to prove himself as one of music's best modern storytellers who's music is a breath of fresh air to the manufactured, electro-pop sound we've become all too accustom.
