Unmade Stanley Kubrick screenplay to be directed by Marc Forster
Legendary filmaker wrote script in 1956
An early script by late A Clockwork Orange and The Shining director Stanley Kubrick is set to be made into a trilogy of films. World War Z director Marc Forster has signed on to direct and produce the first film.
Set during the American Civil War The Downslope will be an action drama about Confederate Army Colonel John S. Mosby who goes after union general, George Custer.
Although Kubrick never produced the script it is said he was immersed in the details of it, creating maps and notes on how he’d like it to be filmed. The films have full support of the Kubrick family.
