There is also speculation that the band will participate in the iTunes music festival in London.
The rumour mill is in full swing, with speculation that U2 will be releasing their first album since 2009 this November. Back in March a representative of the band denied that U2 had pushed the project back to 2015. This will be the band's thirteenth release and will include some production work by Danger Mouse.
This latest round of speculation is fueled by a report from The Sun, in which an unnamed source confirms a November release along with the band's inclusion in the iTunes Festival, taking place this September in London.
"The U2 comeback is very much on for this year," the source told the paper. "This album has been a real struggle for them to make. It's taken a long time and Bono didn't find it easy. But they're very confident now and are convinced the wait has been worth it."

While it's been a while since their last album, 2014 has not been quiet for U2. They are currently in talks with Once director John Carney to create a musical based on Carney's youth and won a Golden Globe for their track 'Ordinary Love', which is featured in the film Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom.
