'Undercover Martyn' is coming to a TV set near you soon!
Two Door Cinema Club are to receive a major boost by having their ‘Undercover Martyn’ track featured on the new Meteor TV ad campaign in Ireland.
A former single, it’s one of the standouts from the Bangor and Donaghdee band’s debut Tourist History album, which got to number 22 here, dented the UK Top 50 and also charted in France and Belgium where the band have played a load of shows recently. In addition, they're rather chuffed to be making their Australian debut on July 31 at Queensland’s Splendour In The Grass festival.
"We made a decision that we wanted to do something that has grassroots appeal, and that would support Irish talent," a Meteor insider tells Hot Press. "Luckily we found a brilliant track that has everything we needed and more and we were able to work things out with the band. We're very excited about it.”
Due on May 21 is the band’s new single, ‘Something Good Can Work’, which their record company reckons will be the one to “really break radio.”
The various formats will include remixes by The Twelves, Crookers, Beatucue, Ted & Francis and Blamma Blamma.
