The Flaming Lips to remake The Stone Roses' debut LP
The Flaming Lips are at it again, this time lending their attentions to The Stone Roses' debut record...
Wayne Coyne & Co. have never been too far away from weirdness, and these days always seem to be involved in some form of fun side-project.
The latest of which sees the band and friends currently at work recording The Stone Roses' 1989 debut album. This project follows 2012's remake of King Crimson's 1969 record In The Court Of the Crimson. Details of exactly who will feature on the record are unknown at the minute.
Now for the weird stuff. Yesterday details surfaced of a special Flaming Lips chocolate heart shaped USB record to be released for Valentine's Day. Love Songs will come enclosed in "72% South American dark chocolate studded with hazelnut mini whippers and waffle cone crunch." If that's not weird, then we don't know what is.
Oh and they've also got the small matter of their new album The Terror looming on the horizon. It's due out on April 1. No doubt they'll have something crazy up their sleeve for the day that's in it.
