Aslan bemoan illegal downloads

The band say Torrents Nova and Pirate Bay are jeopardising their career.

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 13 Jul 2009

Aslan’s Billy McGuinness appeared on the Pat Kenny radio show this morning to discuss the detrimental effect illegal file-sharing is having on their record sales.

The band and their label, EMI, have determined that their Uncase’d covers collection has been downloaded over 25,000 times through Torrents Nova and Pirate Bay alone.

Billy and the boys say they’ll have to “reassess the recording process” if they’re to survive in the current climate.
