Say Hello To The Angels/NYC
Interpol’s Turn On The Bright Lights was an archetypal grower, and turned out to be an album of compelling darkness and astounding quality. The good news for those who missed it first time round is that they’re releasing two of its finest moments on one double A-side. The frenetic ‘Say Hello…’ is all serrated guitars, clipped beats and balls-to-the-wall attitude, while the elegiac ‘NYC’ is a much slower and subtler beast. Impossible to choose between them and thankfully you don’t have to.
