Their two hour show devoted entirely to live Irish music is now available as a podcast
For the first time ever, Beat 102-103 hosted a two-hour show devoted entirely to live Irish music - a mini radio festival if we may - recorded on June 21.
On the Irish Beats show, some of Ireland's finest like Neosupervital (pictured) relied just on their talents to please the crowds and the airwaves.
Presenter Rob O’Connor said "What was most evident from the show was the range of Irish music. A lot of people think Irish musicians can’t see past the soppy love song and an acoustic guitar, which of course isn’t true. We had everything from the likes of Neosupervital’s pop electronica sound, to the Country-vibes of Hollering Pine, to out and out Rock n’Roll stylings of O Emperor."
Nine acts in total took part as they provided a constant stream of live music for the listeners.
