With a new live album due for release in , Kraftwerk will make an appearance at this year's Electric Picnic festival
Packing even more punch to the tasty line-up announced so far, the legendary Kraftwerk have agreed to play the Electric Picnic on September 3.
The German foursome will be hitting the live circuit in a big way this summer, plugging their new live album Minimum-Maximum.
Due to hit stores on June 6, the double CD features songs recorded during their massive world tour from last year, which included a blinding performance at the Dublin Olympia.
Kraftwerk will play the Saturday evening of the Electric Pincic, topping off a line-up that reads as follows:
Saturday September 3 – Kraftwerk, Fatboy Slim, Flaming Lips, Damien Dempsey, Arcade Fire, Royksopp, Laurent Garnier, Stereo MCs, Goldfrapp, Mixmaster Mike and Asian Dub Foundation

Sunday September 4 – De La Soul, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Mercury Rev, Public Enemy, 2 Many DJs, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Toots & The Maytals, DJ Sneak, Nouvelle Vague, Mr Scruff and The Human League.
Tickets for the festival, which takes place on September 3 and 4 at Stradbally Estate, Co. Laois, are on sale now from the usual outlets nationwide.
Prices are €62.50 (one-day ticket), €105 (two-day ticket) and €135 (two-day ticket + camping).
