The sunny sounds of The Thrills are sure to go down well in the sunny setting of California's Coachella festival
Never mind the trifling matter of The Pixies reforming for the occasion, or The Cure headlining the second night, the big Coachella news is that the two-day Californian festival will feature the retro talents of The Thrills.
Taking place on May 1 & 2 in the Empire Polo Fields, Indio, the bash's other attractions include Radiohead, Kraftwerk, Air and Flaming Lips.
Their www.goldenvoice.com/coachella website has yet to go active, but hotpress.com understands that single-day tickets will cost $75 and weekend passes $140.

Meanwhile, The Thrills are also on Perry Farrell's shopping list for Lollapalooza. Describing them as "happening", he revealed further penchants for Super Furry Animals, The Libertines, Bright Eyes, Cat Power, Bumblebeez, Detroit Cobras and Eagles Of Death Metal. Who rock!
