BBC Radio 1 is bringing its Take It On Academy to Derry from May 11 – 17 as part of the City of Culture festivities.
Based in the Nerve Centre and aimed at 13 – 19-year-olds, the various workshops include DJ Skills, Design, Journalism, Digital Technology, Events, TV Production, Radio and Business.
Getting involved in the Q+A sessions will be The Script, Wretch 32, Gabrielle Aplin and assorted EastEnders actors and crew.
There will also be four nights of BBC Introducing Live gigs in The Academy with Silhouette, SOAK, Little Bear, Wonder Villains, Girls Names, Ryan Vail, Axis Of, Gerard i2 and Droids among the turns, and Phil Taggart, Huw Stephens, Zane Lowe and Greg James and Nick Grimshaw broadcasting their shows live from various Derry locales.
