Launched at the National Concert Hall, the network’s new look schedule features a mix of familiar faces and exciting new talent
Topping the bill for many is sure to be a brand new landmark current affairs programme presented by Newstalk’s Pat Kenny. The former Late Late anchor will be joined by TV3’s Colette Fitzpatrick for an in–depth analysis of national and international issues every Wednesday night, in front of a live studio audience.
Current affairs are high on the agenda as September also sees the return of political firebrand Vincent Browne, his Tonight With Vincent Browne now scheduled at the earlier time of 10:30pm every Monday. Browne will be joined on the schedule by investigative heavyweights Paul Williams and Donal MacIntyre. Paul Williams: The War On Crime examines where Ireland stands twenty years on from the murders of Veronica Guerin and Detective Garda Gerry McCabe, while Donal MacIntyre: Unsolved will assemble an unrivalled team of specialists to investigate some of Ireland’s most infamous missing persons cases.
On the lighter side, break-out, award–winning, hit Red Rock moves to a new primetime slot on Mondays at 9.30pm; in Living With Lucy, Seven O’Clock Show host Lucy Kennedy will be moving in with celebrities like footballer Shane Long, Kerry Katona and comedian Al Porter; and must–see TV mainstay The X Factor returns with our own Louis Walsh back on the judging panel where he belongs.

Perhaps most exciting of all is an all new Irish version of Channel 4’s hit Gogglebox. Narrated by Deirdre O’Kane and Mrs Brown’s Boys star Rory Cowan, the show promises the same eclectic mix of characters that audiences both loved and loved to hate on its British counterpart.
In addition to well established formats like Gogglebox and the returning Celebrity Masterchef, now hosted by Robin Gill and Daniel Clifford, TV3’s autumn schedule focuses heavily on original drama and documentaries, with six new productions set to premiere before winter sets in. These include, Mammal, Emily, Cardboard Gangsters, A Date For Mad Mary, It’s Not Yet Dark and Fourth Act.
