Exempt From All Tolerance
Irish Metallers give it up for satan
Proof that Irish metal is thriving, Slave Zero’s second full-length record is so abrasive it should come with its own government health warning. Clearly not ones to be tied into one sub-genre, there are elements of grindcore, hardcore, death metal and prog on the nine-tracker, while Graeme V. Flynn’s vocal gymnastics call to mind everyone from Gorefest to Carcass to Machine Head. Technically outstanding, the record is a sonic two fingered salute to the music snobs of this world and while it can get a little heavy going towards the end, Slave Zero definitely deserve their place as one of Ireland’s High Kings of metal.
