The frontman was recently forced to cancel a concert due to an illness.
Red Hot Chili Peppers singer Anthony Keidis has given an update on his health. The group were forced to pull of a planned festival appearance on May 14 in the US because of Keidis' hospitalisation for intestinal flu.
Speaking the ET Canada Keidis said, "I feel good, not great, but good". In his first interview since being released from hospital the 53 year old vocalist went on to say, "I think I had to get sick to take a look at myself and get to the causes and conditions of my overall health".
The band cancelled an appearance the KROQ Radio Weenie festival in California due to Keidis' bout of intestinal flu which was made worse by several complications. Despite the seriousness of the illness he finished the interview by saying, "Lo an behold, I'm on the mend".
Red Hot Chili Peppers are still set to release their new album, The Getaway on June 17. They are also booked to play the Tennant's Vital Festival in Belfast this August. The first single from the new record, 'Dark Necessities' was released earlier this month.
