'Danger In The Club' is the title track for their forthcoming second LP.
Having survived the hype machine surrounding 2013 debut 180, Palma Violets are back and ready for seconds.
Their new John Leckie-produced album Danger In The Club is out April 28 and we have the title track right now.
It finds the London quartet still in debt to dark US rock (the Libertines comparisons were always off base sonically) and is an admirably straightforward psych number offering plenty of swirling organ-based fun.
“We wanted to make a young-sounding record," says co-frontman Chilli Jesson. "We listened to a lot of pre-punk while we were making the album. We like its rawness and simplicity. A lot of bands want to over-complicate their second album, we know that we didn’t."
The accompanying video is a Roger Sargent-directed one-take of the band playing their local, The Pineapple.
