Although many dread the adaptation of video games being mangled into movies, Assassin's Creed looks set to pull this tough transition off.
Assassin's Creed is up there with the GTAs, Fifas and Halos of the gaming world so when it was announced to become a film adaptation thousands were skeptical to say the least.
However, with a pedigree cast boasting Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard and Jeremy Irons under the direction of Macbeth director Justin Kurzel, the precious Assassin's Creed is in safe hands. Just to prove that, overnight producers released the first official trailer and it certainly eases all our predisposed anxieties.
Michael Fassbender delves into the time-warping travels of Callum Lynch with killer moves and impressive parkour skills. Lynch wakes up to find himself in a state of disillusion having been 'recruited' by Abstergo Industries. Their mission? To tap into Lynch's genetic memories, transporting him back to his ancestral times of the Spanish Inquisition and unlocking the skills and requirements to take down the oppressive and corrupt Templar organisation of the present day.
It's going to be a long wait for this one as we will have to sit patiently until December 26 when Assassin's Creed hits cinemas.
