The Metropolis headliner wants her legacy protected
He may be one of the most in demand DJs, producers and performers in the world, but that didn’t stop us collaring Mark Ronson for a pre-Metropolis festival chat.
Naturally, the talk turned to the documentary about his old pal Amy Winehouse.
“The first hour is so wonderful to me,” he says. “I’ve seen the film twice and done a Q+A with the director who said that what he wanted was to put Amy back up on her pedestal and remind everybody that it was her insane talent that put her up there in the first place. You get to see the real Amy as opposed to the tabloid version.”
Fellow Metropolis headliners Nile Rodgers and Giorgio Moroder, Bruno Mars, FKA twigs and Adele also feature in our super-slick interview with Mark.
