The iconic Irishman has just won an award for his song 'Take Me To Church'
Last night, the critically acclaimed famous Irishman, Hozier, won the 'Song of the Year' award for his famous hit, 'Take Me To Church'.
Hozier has made previous covers of Hot Press and also boasts a stellar musical album.
Other songs that were nominated for the award included Ed Sheeran's 'Bloodstream', Ellie Goulding's 'Love Me Like You Do', Jason Derulo's 'Want to Want Me', Jess Glynne's 'Hold My Hand', Major Lazer & DJ Snake feat. MØ's 'Lean On', Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars' 'Uptown Funk', OMI's 'Cheerleader - Felix Jaehn Remix', The Weeknd's 'Can't Feel My Face' and Wiz Khalifa feat. Charlie Puth's 'See You Again'.
Hozier performed 'Take Me To Church' at the awards garnering a significant amount of positive feedback from the audience.
The Irish singer and songwriter has won many other awards in 2015, including Billboard, Teen Choice and European Border Breakers honours and he has also been nominated for American Music, Grammy and MTV awards.
