On March 17, now renamed "St. Henry's Day"!
If you happen to be in London this St. Patrick's Day, The Half Moon in Putney are putting on a fantastic night's entertainment to raise funds for a legendary guitarist.
An all-star line-up, including the likes of Suggs, Nick Lowe, Neil Innes and Graham Parker, will be present and correct to honour Henry McCullough, a tremendous six-stringer who has played with everyone from Joe Cocker to Paul McCartney.
Henry suffered a heart attack in November 2012 which left him for dead. Thankfully, paramedics miraculously revived him in the ambulance. But the experience has left him severely disabled, wheelchair-bound and sadly unable to walk, talk play again or do anything for himself. He and his carer wife Josie are living in a small rented cottage in Northern Ireland on a small state pension and need as much help as they can get so that Henry can get a little quality of life.
Tickets for the "Henry's Heroes" Benefit, taking place Tuesday March 17, are priced at £40 and all proceeds go to Henry and Josie.
