Hot Press has learned that Electric Picnic 2007 is a complete sell-out.
Anyone who was slow off the mark will now be disappointed, as tickets are no longer available from any of the usual outlets – or even directly from the organisers.
This is the first time that the event, now in its third year, has sold out effectively months in advance. "It's a nice feeling," an Electric Picnic insider told Hot Press. "We're naturally very pleased."
Capacity for the event this year is 32,500 and all tickets are for the full three days over which it runs. It has been widely hailed as one of the most innovative and well planned events in Europe, with a range of attractions that far outstrips the conventional festival agenda.
Among these is the Hot Press Chat Room, which features public interviews with some of the biggest stars on the bill – New Order, The Frames, Josh Ritter, Elbow and Bloc Party having lined up amongst those quizzed by the Hot Press journalistic crew last year.

There are still a number of acts to be added to the bill, which will further boost its already impressive strength in depth. Currently, the line-up features Bjork, The Beastie Boys, The Good The Bad The Queen, LCD Soundsystem, Iggy Pop & The Stooges, Clap Your hands Say Yeah, Damien Dempsey and more.
