The gates are open in a sunny Stradbally for Electric Picnic 2013...
It's party time in Stradbally as Ireland's largest music festival opens its doors once again to celebrate its tenth birthday.
Any newcomers among the sold-out crowd won't have noticed the few subtle changes to the festival site, but seasoned Picnic'ers will have picked up on a thing or two.
The Main Stage has been tilted a few degress East (we think!) and there's some shiny new temporary seating in place too for those privileged festival goers who can now watch Bjork, Arctic Monkeys and Fatboy Slim from the comfort of a nice plastic chair. Main Stage revellers won't have too far to travel for refreshments either with a brand new bar taking pride of place just left of stage.

All the other favourites are still present and correct: the Body & Soul area looks as welcoming and fun as ever, the Green Crafts area is bustling with activity, while the Mindfield area is packed full of literary, spoken word and musical treats including our Hot Press Chatroom which has already hosted Miles Kane, Daithi, Neon Wolf and Hudson Taylor so far today.
We've got plenty more coming up this evening and right throughout the weekend in the Hot Press Chatroom (we're in the Mindfield area just behind the Main Stage).
