Check out the full breakdown of events over the three days...
Curated by Raymond Bell, author of Possessed of a Past: A John Banville Reader, this year's Arts Council Literary Tent at Electric Picnic looks an absolutely cannot-miss affair with talks and film screenings from some of Ireland's finest wordsmiths, filmmakers and musicians.
Last year saw the lively combination of Roddy Doyle and Glen Hansard, who turned in a great hour of music and fun. Aiming to raise the bar again at this year's festival, the Literary Tent will see various intriguing couplings including Skippy Dies author Paul Murray and Lisa Hannigan, Amy Huberman and Irish Times writer Róisín Ingle, Love/Hate writer Stuart Carolan with Aidan Gillen and many more.
There will also be a screening on Friday evening of the excellent Good Vibrations, based on the life of the legendary Terri Hooley, who will be on hand on the Sunday alongside screenwriters Glenn Patterson and Colin Carberry (also of Hot Press fame) to discuss the film and its background.
The full running order is as follows:
