The Louth weekender gets a new title sponsor - and another headline act
Badly Drawn Boy has been announced as a headliner for this year's renewal of Vantastival.
The titfer'ed troubadour will play The Volkswagen Main Stage, newly christened as the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles jump aboard as title sponsors of the Louth weekender. When you consider the amount of VW buses, dating back to god-knows-when, that snake their way to the festival every year, we reckon it's a pretty perfect fit.
Dublin hip-hopper Sample Answer and Meath singer-songwriter Saramai have also been added to the bill, as the line-up takes impressive shape for the first year at the festival's new home of Beaulieu House & Gardens in Drogheda. They take their place on a line-up that already includes King Kong Company, The Hot Sprockets, The Young Folk, Saint Sister and Jinx Lennon.
All the action - which also includes The Volkswagen Campervan Cook-off, an open mic stage, art installations, storytelling, festival traders, a host of children’s activities - takes place on June 3 & 4; tickets, as well as the full line-up and other details, are available at [link]vantastival.com[/link].
